At Monterey Car Week’s The Quail event, INFINITI unveiled two thrilling concept versions of its all-new QX80. Each one explores a different facet of SUV capability while staying deeply rooted in luxury and design philosophy.

The QX80 Track Spec takes the flagship SUV and transforms it into a high-performance street machine. With upgraded turbos, a freer-flowing exhaust, a bigger intercooler, new injectors, and a ram-air intake, this twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 now delivers more than 650 horsepower and 750 pound-feet of torque. That’s roughly a 50 percent increase over the stock version, and it stands as the most powerful output in the brand’s history.

Its exterior styling amplifies the drama with a matte metallic black-blue vinyl wrap, 24-inch wheels, quad exhaust tips, a rear diffuser, front splitter, rocker panels, and fender vents. The aggressive grille was borrowed from the QX80 Sport trim, and larger Brembo front brakes were added to help harness all that extra power and provide precise control behind the wheel. In contrast, the QX80 Terrain Spec was designed for adventure seekers who crave off-road capability without giving up luxury. It features increased ride height, all-terrain tires, robust fender flares, and a suite of overlanding equipment including limb risers, a rooftop lightbar, a pop-up tent, and protective underbody guards.

Wrapped in satin dark basalt vinyl and equipped with a side-exit exhaust, it looks as tough as it is. The Terrain Spec also benefits from standard QX80 technologies like Invisible Hood View, which projects the area directly beneath the front of the vehicle onto the cabin display to help avoid off-road obstacles. It also comes with a 3D Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, providing a rotating view of the vehicle’s surroundings for added confidence in rugged environments.

The design team behind these concepts took inspiration from the varied Southern California landscape, where twisting canyon roads and rugged mountain trails come together. The result is a pair of SUVs that each represent a different take on strength and elegance. One is built for thrilling road performance, the other for confident exploration. Together, they highlight INFINITI’s new, accelerated approach to vehicle development that’s focused on listening to customers and pushing boundaries in the premium SUV segment.

The standard 2025 QX80 already speaks volumes with its recent accolades, including top safety ratings and recognition for design and interior excellence. These concepts simply build on that success, showing how far the platform can stretch while still delivering premium comfort, safety, and refinement.

The Track and Terrain Spec concepts demonstrate INFINITI’s willingness to explore diverse lifestyle needs with purpose-built performance. Whether it’s carving up the pavement or venturing off-grid, these two SUVs prove the QX80 has the flexibility and vision to lead in both luxury and capability. There’s no official word on production plans, but the direction is clear: INFINITI is preparing to meet customers where their passions take them.

Quick Highlights

  • Track Spec delivers over 650 horsepower and 750 pound-feet of torque using upgraded turbo components
  • Matte wrap, 24-inch wheels, quad exhaust, and widened stance amplify its street presence
  • Terrain Spec introduces a rooftop tent, lightbar, all-terrain tires, and advanced driver visibility features
  • Concepts reflect the performance and adventure opportunities found in Southern California’s landscape
  • INFINITI uses these designs to show a nimble, customer-focused approach to luxury SUV innovation

The reimagined QX80 is more than a glimpse into the future. It’s a statement that performance and adventure can coexist without sacrificing the refinement drivers expect from a premium brand.
